APTA Resource: Public Transit Response to COVID-19, 2020

In response to the global pandemic caused by the COVID-19 Coronavirus in spring of 2020, the American Public Transit Association (APTA) has released a collection of resources for public transit agencies seeking to respond appropriately to the novel challenge.

The Association published a webinar on March 5th, 2020 (watchable here, slides available here), as well as other resources including:

• A Guide for Public Transportation Pandemic Planning and Response (Summary of NCHRP Report 769)
• Developing a Contagious Virus Response Plan (APTA SS-S-SEM-005-09)
• Coronavirus Fact Sheet
• COVID-19 Toolbox for the Community

The resource page also shares other recommended resources here from organizations like USDOT and the CDC. Public transit agencies are also encouraged to share their stories and recommendations for handling the pandemic, and they are invited to join the APTA community forum.
