The Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC) runs the Mobility Innovation Collaborative (MIC) program in partnership with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to share lessons learned from innovative mobility projects from around the country. As microtransit becomes more widespread, many of the conversations have focused on the technologies, software and mobile apps enabling these services. However, drivers play a critical role ensuring that public transit service is available and responsive to the needs of local communities. This initiative aims to find ways to capture microtransit drivers’ voices and elevate their experiences. Watch this video to learn more about how microtransit drivers adapt to new technologies.
