5 minutes Date Launched: Jun 16, 2017
The City of Salem and Zagster, Inc. have partnered to launch a new, on-demand bikeshare program in Salem, called Zagster-Salem Bikeshare. The program was launched on May 16, 2017 with the support of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Salem State University. Riders can either rent bikes for $3 an hour or pay $25 annually for unlimited rides, and unlike the prior bikeshare program (Salem Spins), bikes can be returned at any kiosk. Zagster-Salem Bikeshare will initially launch with 18 cruiser bikes available across three stations, with additional stations expected to be added during the summer.
