Summary
Motivate, the operator of the Ford GoBike public bikesharing system, announced the addition of 250 pedal-assist e-bikes to their dock-based system. The system allows users to check out the bike using their Clipper card or smart phone, with the former option easily allowing a $5 introductory fee for low-income membership in the larger GoBike program. Also, all members of Ford GoBIke will be able to use the bikes up to 60 minutes for no extra cost through the pilot.
