The City of Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University (NAU), and Spin have partnered to launch a six month bikeshare program in Flagstaff, Arizona. Through this pilot, several hundred dockless bikes are now available for use around the city and on the NAU campus. The bikes are operated by Spin and can be accessed via the Spin mobile app. Rides cost $1 per half hour for standard users or $0.50 per half hour for users who sign up with a .edu email address. Spin will track bike use and parking, and repair and relocate bikes when necessary. The program aims to provide locals with a convenient and environmentally friendly transportation option, as well as give the City and NAU an opportunity to evaluate the needs of and demand for bikeshare.
