5 minutes Date Launched: Jul 27, 2018
The City of Tulsa and the Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG), in partnership with BCycle and sponsors such as the William K. Warren Foundation and Saint Francis Health System, have launched the bikeshare program, “This Machine,” in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Through this partnership, 160 bikes developed with BCycle technology will be available, on-demand, at 25 stations in downtown Tulsa. Bikes can be rented through the BCycle app or at a designated kiosk for either $2 per 30-minute ride or via a three day, monthly, or annual membership. After finishing a ride, bikes can be returned to one of the stations or, for a $2 fee, parked anywhere. “This Machine” bikeshare aims to offer a convenient, affordable, healthy way to get around.
Contributed through a partnership between the Shared-Use Mobility Center, ITS America and the Federal Transit Administration’s Mobility on Demand Program.
