Uber Express POOL builds on UberPOOL, a shared ridesourcing service. POOL calculates the most efficient route of a shared trip, and sets the pick-up locations based on the route. Riders are asked to walk to designated pick-up locations. Fares start at $2. The program was launched in early 2018 in Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; Miami, FL; Denver, CO; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; and San Francisco, CA.
