An act to amend the highway law, in relation to enabling safe access to public roads for all users by utilizing complete street design principles, New York, 2011

The purpose of the act is to require state, county and local agencies ot consider the convenience and mobility of all users when developing transportation projects that receive state and federal funding. The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is working to ensure that its policies and procedures meet the new standards.
