In 2002, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Resolution, committing the City and County of San Francisco to a greenhouse gas emissions reductions goal of 20% below 1990 levels by the year 2012. The development of this Climate Action Plan, called for int he resolution, describes what San Francisco can do in order to achieve its greenhouse gas reduction goal.
