Summary

Passed in 2013, this law altered the rules associated with revenues generated by the gas tax so that Highway User Tax Funds were no longer limited to “highway-related purposes.” Now funds can be put towards multimodal projects and up to 15% of the Highway User Tax Fund may be used for transit.
