DART Flex Connect Partnership with Uber and YellowCabCo, Des Moines, IA, 2019

The Des Moines (Iowa) Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) partnered with Uber and YellowCab to provide connections to its route 5, 14, 16, 50, 92, and 93 buses within the zone shown below and to or from three transfer points: Gloria Dei Park and Ride, Buccaneer Arena Park and Ride, and Merle Hay Mall.  

This yearlong pilot (October 14 to mid-October 2020) is free for users, operates 5:30 AM-6:30 PM and replaces Flex Route 73. Riders without smartphones may call for on-demand or book-ahead service, and DART provides wheelchair accessible vehicle service, on-demand.
