511 CCTA, a program of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, lets county residents earn a cash rebate for the purchase of a new electric bicycle. $150 rebates, or $300 for low-income residents, are available for all Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bikes or conversion kits. Low-income residents are defined as residents with total household incomes less than or equal to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level. Rebates are available for any resident 18 years or older, limited to one per person and up to two per household. Funding for rebates comes from the county’s local Measure J sales tax.
