Leap Transit, Inc. Notice to Cease and Desist, San Francisco, 2015

Leap Transit, Inc. (Leap) received a cease and desist order to immediately suspend all operations and advertisements.  The notice was issued by the California Public Utilities Commission (Commission). 

The Commission notes that Leap must meet the following requirements before it can operate:

• Public Liability and Property Damage insurance
• Evidence of workers’ compensation insurance
• Evidence of compliance with the controlled substances and alcohol testing requirements
• Tariffs
• Letter of acceptance
• Additional safety requirements were also cited

The letter indicates that failure to cease all operations until all licensing requirements are met will result in enforcement actions.
