Under the Metropolitan Council the Metro Transit division issued an RFP to develop and support a transit mobile app for IOS and Android. The RFP was issued in April 2015 and among the items covered, it outlines the goals of the app, submission requirements, procurement strategies and the project deliverables. There were seven mandatory deliverables and two optional deliverables.

· Customer relations reporting
· Carpool Ridematching
· Guaranteed Ride Home program
· Mobile payment
· Police Reporting
The Portland, Oregon based moovel was selected through the RFP process and the app has since been launched and includes mobile ticketing and Metro Transit’s most popular trip planning features.
