Miami Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan, 2013

n January 10, 2013, the City of Miami Commission adopted amendments to the MCNP to revise the Parks, Recreation and Open Space, Capital Improvements, and the Interpretation of the 2020 Future Land Use Map Elements, in order to update the Level of Service (LOS) Standard for Parks, Recreation and Open Space for concurrency purposes. The City of Miami’s LOS for Parks, Recreation and Open Space is to provide a municipally-owned park within a ten minute barrier-free walk to park entrances by 72% of the city’s population as measured by pedestrian network analysis. The Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA) issued a sufficiency statement on January 29, 2013 in response to the adoption of these amendments.
