The Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District, Zipcar, and their partners launched a clean carsharing program targeted at serving disadvantaged communities. The program, Our Community CarShare Sacramento, provides free, on-demand access to eight electric vehicles for hundreds of residents at three public housing sites. Our Community CarShare Sacramento is funded through a $1.3 million grant through California Air Resources Board, and is the first zero-emission carsharing program to launch in California.
