5 minutes Date Launched: Apr 6, 2018
The City of Norfolk has partnered with Pace, the dockless bikeshare service powered by Zagster, Inc., to launch the region’s first bikeshare program: Pace Norfolk. As of April 6, 150 bikes are available for rent throughout the downtown area. The city plans to make up to 250 Pace bikes available as the program progresses. Riders 18 years of age or older can reserve a bike via the Pace app for $1 per half hour, and bikes can be locked at both dedicated and public bike racks for travel convenience. Pace Norfolk is sponsored by a number of organizations, including the Downtown Norfolk Council, Visit Norfolk, and Sentara Healthcare. Through this program the City of Norfolk hopes to encourage and facilitate healthy and sustainable travel.
