RIDE Solutions and Zagster Inc. have partnered with the City of Roanoke and Carilion Clinic to launch a new bike sharing program in Roanoke, Virginia. As of May 24th, 50 “Zagster 8” bikes are available across 10 local stations for either $3 per hour or via a $40 annual membership. (For members, the first hour of each rental is free, and subsequent time is charged $3 per hour, with a $30 cap.) Bikes are docked at the beginning and end of rides but can also be locked without a dock for user convenience in the case of mid-trip stops. They also include automatic lights, a bell, a basket, and full reflectors. Bikes can be found via the Zagster Mobile App.
