Rules and regulations relevant to the adiminstration of a car share permit program by the city traffic engineer.
To aid in the success of carsharing in Denver, the Department of Public Works created new regulations pertaining to the administration of the car sharing permit program. The new regulations provide enable a robust car share network, made up of multiple operators, to be located both on and off street within Denver. Rules include the dictate that an operator may locate up to 25% of its fleet, not to exceed ten locations, at dedicated on-street locations in the downtown area, as well as requiring operators to locate at least two dedicated spaces in designated opportunity areas.
