VIA Metropolitan Transit has partnered with Uber to launch a limited-time initiative, “Take Uber. Ride VIA.” The initiative is aimed at enhancing transportation options while celebrating Fiesta San Antonio. The 2-day long promotion started April 21st and ended April 23rd, 2016. The promotion for first-time Uber users included one free ride up to $20 to or from a participating VIA Park & Ride during the Fiesta special event service. Existing Uber users were given $10 ride credit using a promo code.
