Beginning on January 1st, 2016 companies with more than 20 employees in Washington, DC will be required to provide pre-tax or subsidized commuter benefits to use on Metro, buses, and other forms of mass transit. The goals of this program are to reduce costs for workers, aid in employee recruitment and retention and increase sustainable practices.
