Veo is partnering with Purdue University to provide a fleet of shared standing and sitting e-scooters to students, faculty, and staff. Users can rent the vehicles through Veo’s smartphone app. The scooters can only be parked at campus bicycle racks or designated parking pads.
Purdue University selected Veo as its shared scooter vendor after issuing a request for proposals (RFP). Veo offers various safety-related features that are appealing to Purdue, including integrated turn signals and lights and an educational-mode toggle option that reduces the maximum speed of the scooters for new riders. Many college campuses have adopted shared micromobility as a means of expanding mobility choices to their community members. This new partnership can help users looking to make longer trips across campus and potentially to certain areas within West Lafayette.
