CityFleet Administrative Rule: Idle Reduction Policy, Portland, Oregon, 2015

The purpose of the Idle Reduction Policy is to outline a procedure that will reduce vehicle and equipment idle time. This Administrative Rule is supported by the City’s sustainability goals and will significantly reduce vehicle emissions, environmental impact, operating costs, and dependence on foreign oil. CityFleet shall be responsible for developing fuel conservation plans for City vehicles and equipment.
