The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Puget Sound transit operators are planned to partner with Lyft for a pilot program, Two-Region Mobility-on-Demand Partnership. The pilot program is aimed at exploring the viability of using Lyft to provide first/last mile solutions for trips originating and ending at select transit stops. Customers will be able to use a mobile app or call a dispatcher phone number, providing equity to individuals who are either unbanked or non-smartphone users. This pilot program is one of FTA’s MOD Sandbox 1.0 program.
