The City of Seattle is partnering with dynamic carpooling provider, Scoop Technologies, in order to encourage carpooling to and from designated areas within the South Lake Union neighborhood. Since its launch on April 17, individuals living and working in areas with 98109 and 98121 zip codes have access to Scoop carpools with a discount of $2 to $3 per ride, thanks to a $49,000 contribution from the City’s Commute Trip Reduction program. The program is anticipated to last approximately three months and aims to help ease local congestion.
