Bird E-Scooter Safety Report, 2019

In April 2019, Bird released a self-published report examining e-scooter safety in the US. The report focuses on the risks of scooter-riding, and how both operators and cities can help reduce some of those risks. The report asserts that e-scooters and bicycles face similar risk and vulnerabilities, and that infrastructure like better maintained streets and more protected bike lanes can help improve safety.
