Nightlife Parking Demonstration (Passenger Loading Zone), Washington, DC, 2017

In response to the heavy TNC and taxicab pick-up and drop-off in the area around DuPont Circle bars and restaurants during the weekends, the District Department of Transportation (Washington, DC) has launched a one-year demonstration/pilot-project–in cooperation with the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District, the Metropolitan Police Department, and the Department of Public Works–that reserves 4 street segements on or adjacent to Connecticut Avenue (shown below) from 10 pm Thursday night through 7 am Sunday morning for TNC and taxicab loading.
