Auburn University has partnered with Spin to offer its community a fleet of shared e-scooters and e-bikes. The University has entered into an agreement with the micromobility provider for a three-year term. Upon its launch at Auburn University, Spin is providing 100 e-bikes and 100 e-scooters to users. Customers can use Spin’s app to access the vehicles across the campus between 5 AM and midnight every day. The bicycles and e-scooters can operate at a maximum speed of 20 and 15 miles per hour, respectively. Geofencing technology also designates certain parts of Auburn University’s campus as no-ride and slow-ride zones. Customers can pay for their micromobility rentals through the following rates:
Micromobility can be a valuable resource for students and other community members on college campuses. In conjunction with public transit and campus shuttles, shared e-bikes and scooters can assist individuals in accessing amenities across campuses and surrounding areas.
