The City of Carlsbad, North County Transit District (NCTD), and the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), together with shuttle solutions companies, RideCo and WeDriveU, have launched on-demand shuttle service – the Carlsbad Connector – in San Diego County, California. The Carlsbad Connector aims to encourage commuter rail use by helping commuters travel between the Carlsbad Poinsettia commuter rail station and destinations in Carlsbad, California. Through this partnership, riders can book trips on 12-person vans via the Carlsbad Connector app, developed by RideCo, or by calling. The shuttle service, which is operated by WeDriveU, was created using funding from the City of Carlsbad, NCTD, and SANDAG.
